Shimla Manali Tour with Delhi & Agra – 7 Nights 8 Days

Your Himachal holiday begins on arrival in Delhi, where our driver meets you and starts the long road journey north towards Shimla, about 380 km away. The route climbs gradually from the plains into pine-covered hills, so carry some snacks and enjoy the changing scenery. You reach Shimla by evening and check in to your hotel. After freshening up, you are free to walk along the Mall Road, the town's lively promenade with shops, cafés and mountain views. Dinner is served at the hotel. Overnight stay in Shimla.

After a relaxed breakfast, set out for a full day around Shimla. Drive up to Kufri, a popular hill retreat known for its fresh mountain air and wide valley views. Back in town, visit Jakhoo Hills, the highest point around Shimla and home to a well-known hilltop temple. You also stop at the Viceregal Lodge and the Chini Bungalow, which reflect the town's British-era past. In the evening you can browse the shops and eateries on the Mall at your own pace. Check out after breakfast and begin the scenic drive towards Manali. On the way you halt at Kullu, set along the Beas River. Travellers who enjoy adventure can try river rafting here, which is arranged and paid for on your own. After the break, the road continues through the valley to Manali. On arrival you check in to your hotel and have the rest of the day free to rest, stroll nearby or explore at your own pace. Dinner is at the hotel. Overnight stay in Manali.

After breakfast, enjoy a half-day tour of Manali's best-known sights. Visit the Hadimba Temple, a wooden shrine set among tall deodar trees, and the Vashisht Temple. The tour also includes the Club House and some of the Tibetan monasteries in the area, among other local stops. The rest of the day is free for leisure, whether that means a walk through the market, a café stop or simply relaxing at the hotel. Dinner is served at the hotel. Overnight stay in Manali.

Today is set aside for Solang Valley, one of the most visited spots near Manali, with open meadows and mountain backdrops. Spend the day taking in the scenery and the lively atmosphere. Adventure activities such as paragliding are available locally but are not part of the package and are paid separately. In case of heavy snowfall, the vehicle can go only up to the snow point instead of the valley itself. Return to your hotel in the evening for dinner. Overnight stay in Manali.

After breakfast and check-out, leave the mountains behind and begin the long drive back to Delhi. The road passes through changing landscapes as the hills gradually give way to the plains. You reach Delhi later in the day and check in to your hotel, where you can rest after the journey. Dinner is served at the hotel, followed by a comfortable night before tomorrow's trip to Agra. Leave Delhi early after breakfast for Agra, roughly a four-hour drive away. In Agra you visit the Agra Fort, the grand Mughal fortress on the Yamuna, and the Taj Mahal, the white marble monument that needs no introduction. Monument entry fees are not included and are paid on the spot. After the visits, drive back to Delhi in the evening. Dinner is at the hotel. Overnight stay in Delhi.

After breakfast and check-out, spend your last day on a local tour of Delhi. You see the Red Fort, India Gate, Parliament Street, Raj Ghat, the Lotus Temple and the Qutub Minar, a good mix of Mughal, colonial and modern landmarks. Entry fees for monuments are not included. Later in the day you are dropped at the airport at about 6 pm for your onward journey, carrying home memories of hills, valleys and heritage sites.
